Împreună am descoperit o nouă celulă în creier. Premieră mondială. Cercetarea am început-o în urmă cu trei decenii. Un moment important a fost anul 1986, când am ajuns la o evidenţă, studiind ţintit ateroscleroza cerebrală – am publicat şi două cărţi pe această temă, peste o mie de pagini – dar atunci nu am îndrăznit să venim cu un verdict. Apoi, an de an – se poate vedea şi în bibliografie – am mai adăugat câte ceva, încât azi nu mai avem dubii că este vorba de o entitate citologică morfofuncţional nouă.
Din 2006, am demarat prezentarea rezultatului cercetărilor noastre la trei congrese mondiale (Cape Town, San Diego şi Los Angeles).
Cordocitprotectocitul este o celulă santinelă activă, omniprezentă, implicată în multe fenomene, dar care nu a prea fost băgată în seamă sau a fost confundată cu alte citotipuri. Dar funcţiile ei – stabilite de noi în premieră – nu le veţi găsi enumerate nicăieri în literatura mondială.
Cele trei atlase legate de celula noastră, publicate în 2006, 2008 şi 2011, le-am trimis din Australia până în Canada. Unii au mărturisit că nu ştiu despre ce este vorba şi că vor să cerceteze. Iar alţii au spus: „Miroase a premiul Nobel“…
