Stația de apă de la Darabani

„Condei de junior” este o rubrică semnată de elevii Școlii Generale „Leon Dănăilă” din Darabani, pasionați de istorie locală, interesați de a învăța secretele scrisului și dornici să facă și altora cunoscute poveștile pe care ei le descoperă.

 

IMG_1916Staţia de tratare a apei de la Darabani a fost construită în timp de 4 ani și jumătate, fiind pusă în funcţiune în 1980. Înainte, localitatea era alimentată de puţurile din Lacul Bălăşescu.

„Stația de apă” este localizată în cartierul Teioasa, în vecinătatea pădurii cu acelaşi nume şi în apropierea Staţiei Meteorologice Darabani. A fost construită în acest loc dintr-un motiv foarte bine întemeiat: este zona cea mai înaltă din perimetrul localităţii Darabani, căderea apei fiind astfel asigurată gravitaţional. Asta înseamnă că apa curge liberă datorită pantei, coborând fără vreun ajutor prin conducte.

IMG_1929Staţia funcționează 24 de ore din 24 și 365 de zile pe an, cu un personal de 10 operatori şi un laborant.

Nu există un izvor propriu-zis, pentru înmagazinarea apei folosindu-se un dren amplasat lângă albia majoră a răului Prut, care prin infiltrații, ajunge într-un puţ colector de unde începe procesul de pompare. Apa este prelucrată în nişte bazine de beton şi trece prin filtre de nisip cuarţos.

 

IMG_1913La finalul procesului calitatea apei este evaluată prin analize fizico-chimice. Analizele constau în determinări de substanţe organice, măsurarea durităţii apei, a PH-ului, amoniacului şi azotiţilor din apă. Aceşti indicatori sunt foarte importanţi şi trebuie respectaţi pentru ca apa să fie declarată potabilă. După analize apa este tratată prin dezinfecţie cu clorură de var.

Informaţiile sunt însemnate într-un registru pentru a verifica dacă apa se încadrează în normele de potabilitate. Ne putem mândri cu una dintre cele mai bune ape din judeţ.
