Învăţătorul Iancu Duzinschi, fost deputat şi sfetnic al unei regine a Greciei

Bărbat extrem de carismatic, învăţătorul dărăbănean Iancu Duzinschi a trăit cu aceeaşi intensitate atât la catedră, cât şi pe tărâmul culturii sau al politicii. Pentru meritele sale pedagogice a fost mulţi ani revizor şcolar. Afinităţile culturale i-au îndreptat paşii înspre specificul naţional, prioritar în epocă, după modelul Nicolae Iorga. De altfel, a fost un colaborator harnic al marelui istoric, atât în Parlamentul României Mari, cât şi în paginile publicaţiei „Neamul Românesc”.

Când, în ultimul război, înfrângerea Germaniei devenea treptat o certitudine şi instalarea comunismului la noi doar o problemă de timp, fostul deputat Iancu Duzinschi, în primăvara anului 1944, părăsea Darabaniul, refugiindu-se în zona Timişoarei, mai exact la castelul din Banloc al Principesei Elisabeta, fiica regelui nostru Ferdinand Loialul, şi fostă regină a Greciei, timp de 12 ani, ca soţie a lui George al II-lea, cel asasinat în Franţa, la Marsilia (1936), unde se afla în vizită oficială. La Banloc, Iancu Duzinschi a rămas alături de regina Greciei, ca sfetnic de mare încredere, până la sfârşitul anului 1947, când după abdicarea forţată a lui Mihai I, întreaga familie regală, câtă era în ţară, inclusiv unchii şi mătuşile dinspre tată, între care şi Regina Elisabeta, pleacă în exil. Lua sfârşit una din etapele faste ale biografiei lui Iancu Duzinschi, ca sfetnic al Reginei Elisabeta a Greciei, la Banloc, timp de aproape patru ani.

Probabil se cunoşteau dinainte de primăvara anului 1944, iar întâlnirea cu regina şi şederea fostului deputat la Banloc n-au fost, totuşi, întâmplătoare.
