Mănăstirea Sfânta Treime de la Eşanca

La data de 3 ianuarie 2009 a avut loc sfinţirea mănăstirii din satul Eşanca, aflat în componenţa Darabanilor. Acest eveniment a beneficiat de prezenţa Episcopului Vicar Mitropolitan Calinic Botoşăneanul.

Noul aşezământ monahal se numeşte  Sfânta Treime şi are două hramuri: al Sfintei Cuvioase Parascheva şi al Sfântului Serafim. Ideea unui locaş de rugăciune, aici pe valea Eşancei, aparţine părintelui Serafim Grigoraş, preot la Catedrala Mitropolitană din Iaşi, el însuşi fiu al satului Eşanca.

Monahia Petronia Ilaş, de la Mănăstirea Agapia, având trei decenii şi jumătate de experienţă călugărească, este stareţa Mănăstirii Sfânta Treime de la Eşanca. Mănăstirea va găzdui pentru început 7 maici în chiliile deja construite, urmând ca altele să li se alăture în alte câteva chilii la care lucrul încă nu a început. Deşi lucrările generale nu sunt încă finalizate, în biserica mănăstirii se vor oficia slujbe religioase, prima dintre acestea fiind cea de Bobotează.
