De câţiva ani urmăresc cu interes traiectoria unui destin care întruneşte toate condiţiile spre a deveni excepţional: cel al Simonei Chiţan. Fata din Darabani a plecat pe un drum care străbate lumea dificilă a culturii. A ales deocamdată jurnalismul, pe care îl practică de vreo 8 ani cu fervoare rar întâlnită. De altfel, este absolventa Facultăţii de Jurnalism Ştiinţele Comunicării a Universităţii din Bucureşti, unde parcurge merituos şi un masterat în Managementul Instituţiei de presă.
Putem spune despre cariera de ziarist a Simonei că este fulminantă. În 2004 intră în redacţia Evenimentului zilei, la departamentul de cultură. După 2 ani este şefa acestui departament. Scrie pagini culturale întregi, sute de articole, interviuri, cronici, prezentări şi reportaje. Lumea teatrului îi devine familiară, se mişcă permanet în cercurile selecte ale actorilor şi regizorilor importanţi, înregistrându-le cu minuţie şi talent succesele, eşecurile, marile experimente artistice. Ţine în viaţă rubrici fixe, aşteptate cu sufletul la gură de cititori. Comentariile sale jurnalistice au aplomb, sunt incitante. Simona Chiţan ştie să-şi provoace interlocutorii dacă e vorba de interviuri, aşa cum detectează cu precizie, în numeroasele sale cronici teatrale, calităţile şi defectele actorilor, minusurile şi plusurile unor demersuri regizorale.
Deşi lumea teatrului pare a-i fi consubstanţială, Simona Chiţan, jurnalista, se apropie cu aceeaşi receptivitate şi de mediile scriitoriceşti. Conversează adesea pe marginea cărţilor importante, a premiilor literare semnificative, antrenând scriitorii, prozatorii şi poeţii români sau din altă ţări, la mărturisiri esenţiale. Cu harul ei incontestabil de investigator al produsului artistic actual, atât de divers şi complex, Simona şi-a făcut ea însăşi mână de scriitor. Scrisul ei cucereşte tocmai prin acea savoare miraculoasă care depăşeşte rigorile jurnalismului sec şi fad. O dovedeşte monografia “Victor Rebenciuc, Omul şi actorul” semnată alături de Mihaela Michailov în 2004 şi reeditată, cu numeroase completări, de Editura Humanitas (2008).
Avem aici portretul complet, văzut şi analizat din toate unghiurile, al unui artist de mare potenţial, care a dominat scena şi filmul românesc câteva decenii la rând. Tot în 2008 Simona Chiţan publica la Editura Tritonic, un volum intitulat “30 de interviuri eveniment”. Intervievaţii erau nume emblematice ale teatrului, filmului şi literaturii, unii chiar deţinători de premiu Nobel. Câteva asemenea nume pot fi suficient de elocvente: Octavian Paler, Nicolae Manolescu, Mircea Cărtărescu, Ana Blandiana, Emil Brumar, Orban Pamuk, Yuriy Kordonskiy, Andrei Şerban, Matei Vişniec, Marcel Iureş, Ileana Mălăncioiu, Cristian Bădiliţă şi alţii.
“Nimic nu pare încropit, pus cu mâna, adăugat pe un colţ de birou, în redacţia aglomerată a unui cotidian. Totul este gândit şi cântărit, după ce a fost, nu mai puţin, căutat şi explorat”, spune despre aceste interviuri criticul literar Daniel Cristea Enache. Într-adevăr, cartea de interviuri a Simonei Chiţan devine o imensă scenă pentru un spectacol grandios şi sclipitor. Fascinaţia, vie în fiecare pagină, vine tocmai din inteligenţa autoarei, care ştie să-i “provoace” pe interlocutori, declanşându-le apetitul confesiv, o carte cu momente dense, evidenţiind nu doar calităţile de convorbitor ale Simonei Chiţan, ci şi o certă propensiune spre literatură şi creaţie. Din martie 2010 Simona Chiţan lucrează în redacţia cotidianului Adevărul, realizând împreună cu câţiva colegi binecunoscutul supliment Adevărul literar- artistic. În felul acesta ziarista născută la Darabani îşi continuă, cu aceeaşi acuitate, călătoria iniţiatică în universul culturii şi artei, începută în paginile Evenimentului zilei. Deşi Simona este extrem de modestă şi discretă, cum stă bine unei personalităţi veritabile, am aflat că pregăteşte un doctorat în domeniul teatrologiei şi că, în paralel cu jurnalismul şi literatura, va debuta şi într-o carieră universitară, cu un curs de specialitate.
În faţa unei asemenea game de opţiuni, tânăra noastră concitadină are nevoie nu doar de talent, cu care Dumnezeu a înzestrat-o plenar, ci şi de mari resurse de energie. Nu ne rămâne decât să i le dorim şi pe acestea, aşteptând-o cu alte surprize, absolut convinşi că ne aflăm în faţa unui destin cultural de anvergură.
